Head Coach & Assistant Coaches
Each Warriors team is lead by a Head Coach and supported by Assistant Coaches. Head Coaches are responsible for ensuring that their teams practice and play in safe and inclusive environments where players are taught the fundamentals of full-tackle football through age appropriate coaching and training.
Their actions are guided by a commitment to demonstrate respect, integrity, accountability to ones self and team, good sportsmanship and fair play.
See our Coach's Code of Ethics
All Warriors team coaches must complete the required training through the BC Provincial Football Association and Football Canada, be in good standing with the Vancouver Island Community Football Association and have a clear, valid Criminal Record Check for working with youth.
Our Coaches spend ~6.5 hours per week on the field with their teams each week during a regular season.

managers
Player & Gear Wranglers, and Master Coordinators
Team Managers keep our teams organized and in the know. They serve as the vital link of information flowing between players, parents, coaches, trainers and the Westshore Football Association.
Each team needs a Manager or two to welcome players to the team, communicate schedules and events like gear-up, practices, games, fundraisers, etc.
Managers are present at practices and games to take attendance and coordinate parent volunteers and accurate completion and submitting of paperwork on game days.
Managers take care of the details, supporting players, parents/guardians and coaches in the business of their football season.
Warriors Managers need to be organized, and have good communication skills. They need to be able to access team related programs online, manage emails, create and share schedules. All Managers must have a clear, valid Criminal Record Check for working with youth.
Our Managers spend ~6.5 hours per week on the field with their teams each week during a regular season. Managers spend another 1.5 hours per week doing adminstrative or communication tasks for their teams.
trainers
First Aid Attendants
Each Warriors team is supported during practices and games by a certified First Aid Attendant. Trainers are responsible for attending to players and coaches on the field, engaging emergency services and following up with players and families as needed.
All Warriors trainers must have successfully completed at least Level 1 First Aid and have a clear, valid Criminal Record Check for working with youth.
Trainers spend ~6.5 hours per week on the field with their teams each week during a regular season.
parents/guardians
Game Day Duties
During each game, we rely on a few parent volunteers.
For home games our teams need volunteers to perform the duties of Sticks (3), Play Count/Play Watch (2), Game Commissioner (1), help with field set-up and take down and someone to bring sliced oranges for players to fuel up on at half time.
For away games our teams need volunteers to do Play Count, Play Watch and to bring oranges.
Parent duties will be assigned at the beginning of each season by the team Manager. Parents/guardians who do not fulfill their duty assignments will surrender their Volunteer deposit at the end of a season.
