Player & Parent/guardian code of conduct


  • FOOTBALL IS A PHYSICAL AND OFTEN EMOTIONAL GAME. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS IMPORTANT AND IS EXPECTED FROM ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS ON AND OFF THE FIELD. THE FOLLOWING IS THE STANDARD THAT ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST ABIDE BY AS A PARTICIPANT IN THE WESTSHORE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (WSFA).

  • is an all inclusive organization that strives to support all players regardless of race, ethnicity, age gender, religion or any other aspect that may discriminate. Players/Parents/Guardians are expected to treat every person with dignity and respect.
  • Players/Parents/Guardians must be 100% respectful of team-mates, coaches, managers, officials and the opposing team; no vulgar language, back talk or trash talk will be tolerated at any time before, during or after games, at practice or via email and social media.
  • Players/Parents/Guardians must support and encourage team-mates at all times. No bullying will be tolerated.
  • Parents/Guardians are not permitted on the player sideline of the field during games, and must stay back from the spectator sideline to allow officials and volunteers to complete their duties. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to speak with officials before or during a game.
  • Players/Parents/Guardians must abide by Municipal rules and permits for field use. Alcohol, drugs and other illegal substances are not permitted at practice and game fields at any time.
  • Players must be on time for all practices and games. Players must contact the Coach or Manager if unable to attend.
  • Players must wear their complete set of football gear, including mouth guards, for all practices and games.
  • Players not in proper gear may be asked to not participate in practices or games as the safety of the players is the most important aspect of the WSFA.
  • Players shall remember that winning in not everything and that learning the fundamentals of football, developing skills and displaying great sportsmanship are the guiding principles of Westshore Football Association
